This is an exceptional boat. This 12 metre was originally designed and built to compete in the 1977 America’s Cup. As such she was a pure regatta boat in which everything was geared toward speed. The interior of the boat was completely bare. The hull is made of mahogany. It is about 3 cm thick and consists of 3 layers of planking. The structure is aluminium. Then in 1995, she underwent a refit: the external aspect of the boat was respected, but a whole new interior fit-out was installed, converting her to a very luxurious racer/cruiser. The whole interior is also made of mahogany, with a very high level of workmanship. To give an example of the level of finishing: the floorboards have been varnished, but not only what meets the eye. Also the bottom and the sides of each panel have been varnished. The whole boat is similar details bearing witness to the level of workmanship of the shiprights and technicians involved in the building and refit of this boat. The boat is ready to take part in the classical boat regatta circuit, where she is certain to draw a lot of attention. British flag. Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered.
Bandera inglesa.
