Lord Stanley of Alderney purchased her in 1939 as he believed that Chamberlain was about to cave in to Hitler and he wanted a boat that could go anywhere for his escape. Since then she has had a number of owners and was renamed "Regard" in 1954. Tom Cunliffe skippered her at one stage and her current bow sprit was made by him.
In 1999 her current owners found her in a sorry state. They spent two hard years lovingly restoring her to her former glory. She is coded to MCA Code Two and is currently being operated as a Charter boat accommodating up to 6 guests for overnight trips and 12 for day sails. For sale as a going concern but would also suit as a private yacht. This really is an opportunity to buy yourself a piece of history.
