Heading out from Guernsey
The brief was simple.......
Jump on a 300HP RIB and head 25 miles to the following position...
Bring Beers and BBQ stuff.......
Big spring tides and settled weather also helped as the Boatshed Team headed off to the Ecrehous Islands for a very unusual party.
We were lucky to be invited to these small Islands by Alex and George, two part time residents of the Islands who's family built a shelter here in the 1950's.
After leaving Guernsey we headed for the northern tip of Jersey and then turned north to meet this tiny set of rocks that sits only a few meters above the water.
Les Ecrehous is little more than a granite reef but it looks like a toy town by the sea. These dolls' houses are origional fishermen's huts. The accommodation is basic but the setting is idyllic.
As the tide comes in our party venue shrunk to the size of only a few metres. A fantastic place and as the tide whips past it is just one of those places that you just have to visit to appreciate.
Our thanks to Alex and George :-)
