Steve was also originally from Poole but decided to pursue his career in Insurance Broking by moving to London, where he joined a specialist firm of brokers where he stayed for over 10 years, where he progressed through the ranks to the Board of Directors. Knowing he was not getting any younger he felt the time was right for a change of direction and lifestyle. It was during one of his regular trips back to Poole that he learned about Boatshed from his friend of over 20 years, Paul. Steve was immediately interested and approximately 3 months after the first chat about Boatshed, they were signed up and heading for Spain to start Boatshed Costa Brava. Steve's passion of the sea began with windsurfing at an early age followed by crewing trips around the Channel Islands.

Despite the global financial crisis we were confident there was still a strong market for used boats. What impressed me was not just the presentation of data and photographs for each boat listed for sale, but the technology in place behind the website. It is this technology which allows us to help our registered customers find the right boat for them by understanding their search criteria.
