I’m still trying to come up with the right set of superlatives to describe this boat. Shy and retiring? I think not. Stunning, stupendous, gob-smackingly gorgeous? We’re getting closer, perhaps. If this boat was a comedian it’d be Russell Brand, but with better dress-sense. In fact I’m not sure if it’s a boat or a work of art. Both, I think. On the boat side, we have two high-performance V8 petrol engines, each with a swept volume greater than eight litres, driving the slimmest possible hull which appears to have been designed along the lines of a classic paper dart. What’s that? More than 80 mph, since you ask. That’s Cowes in less than six minutes, were we to thumb our nose at the harbour speed limits. And you should hear those engines. Even on tick-over, they’re conversation stoppers. The look of the boat is a total head-turner. Take a look at the upholstery, the red trim on the instruments, the phenomenal graphics that flow seamlessly over the hatches (and the fridge door!) You will be hard pressed to find another boat to match this one, which has been maintained in impeccable condition. She’s not even allowed to float in that nasty salt water for any longer than necessary. When not carving slices out of the sea, she lives out of the water on a bespoke hydraulic cradle, in itself a cool £12,000 of sophisticated engineering. The cradle forms part of the package. If you like your boats loud, raucous and searingly quick, you must take a look at this one. She’s special.
