From the outside, this impressive boat looks pretty much brand new, which is almost the case. Launched in April 2010, she has had little use and retains her sparkle above decks and that wonderful boat-show smell down below. With the 470e, Hanse has opted not to shoe-horn in as many berths as possible, but rather to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation for five or six crew. As a result the three double cabins are big, the saloon is cavernous, and the cockpit rangy. A large cockpit tent maximises the outside space when in harbour. This boat is very well equipped, with twin wheels supported by twinned instrumentation. The self-tacking furling jib provides further evidence that she has been set up for short-handed sailing, but large electric-powered primary winches are fitted, so even a big over-lapping genoa could be easily handled without need of a team of grinding gorillas. There are lots of neat touches, both inside and out. One good example is the mooring cleats, which retract neatly when not in use to prevent them catching on jib sheets and so on. This well-equipped yacht is offered in mint condition, with a substantial reduction on the new price.
