Broker's Comments

Register with Boatshed to see 46 extra photos of this Kingfisher 26 .
Designed back in 1968 these Kingfishers remain popular with a loyal following. And for good reason. Practical Boat Owner once described them as a robust, twin keeled cruiser with a tough skeg protected rudder, strong masthead rig, sensible lockers and chunky fittings. The original owner of this Kingfisher 26, who commissioned her to be built, was polar explorer Captain Turnbull so presumably he knew something about its excellent sea keeping qualities as well.
This example has been with the same owner for 12 years and during that time has made many improvements and enhancements including the replacement Beta engine in 2001. During that time she has been cruised to the Channel Islands, Brittany, the Scilly Isles and along the south coast.
