Like all Mitchells the Mitchell 30 is renowned for its great sea keeping properties as well as the practicality of a good sized wheelhouse and large, safe cockpit and are regarded almost as 'classic' boats. When I visited this example ashore, the owner showed me a brochure from a few years back when he used her for dive and fishing charters. It should not be much of a problem to bring her up to current regulations and specification and once again the new owner would have a really useful boat for diving or fishing. Or she could be used for leisurely cruising as the current owner did up until recently. There is the added advantage that she has the windlass mounted amidships (for hauling dive gear) as well as a deep drop down metal ladder on the port side for divers to get back onboard. She is in need of some TLC as the current owner is no longer able to manage her. In summary, a boat with a great reputation, in need of some updating and refurbishment but still a Mitchell
