What a fantastic little head turning day sailer this is.
The Yole, up until the 1960’s, was the main form of transport in the Orkney Islands. Used for the transport of people from island to island, animals to and from market and consumer goods, as well as to fish from, the Yole was an integral part of Island life. This Yole was designed and built by two very talented Norfolk boat builders. Using the traditional design this craft was constructed from the keel up without any consideration to cost control. She has had 5 coats of West System 207 inside and out and that was before the five coats of paint..Now available at a small fraction of the cost should this craft be constructed today using the same high quality material and was priced according to the hours spent on her build.
She has had little use and is extremely well maintained.
