There are a number of things to like about this boat, but the big one has to be the two new engines and legs.
Professionally supplied and installed, the engine room was something of a joy to behold with everything clean, clipped and fitted. The hull below the water line has recently been fully scrapped and it was certainly fair and true to look at. Above the waterline the original gel coat is in very good condition, surprisingly with no evidence of any scuffs scrapes or dings. Normally a boat from the mid 80’s would have many of these, but none were evident. The interior layout of the 30ds has always been well sought after, as it has an enclosed forepeak double, separate heads compartment and a roomy galley with a dinette opposite. With her large cockpit and enclosed wheel house she is a very comfortable and spacious boat, considering she is only 30ft long. If one had to choose any improvements that she would benefit from, it would only be some freshening of the upholstery, carpet & headlining’s in the wheel house. With those relatively easy jobs taken care of, she will make somebody a very cost effective, comfortable, cruising boat.
