Broker's Comments

This is a genuine classic. Number 1 is stamped on the hull to prove that this was the very first Rival 41C ever produced by Southern Boatbuilders! I can't help comparing this boat to a beautifully restored Jaguar E-type. Both hail from the same proud period of solid beautifully engineered British machines.

The boat is home to a lovely couple and the arrival of a second baby means they need more space. The owner is a very gifted craftsman and it is difficult to believe that this boat is 36 years old. It is not the age of the boat that is important but the love and attention that has been poured into her maintenance.

A new Bowman Rival would cost several multiples of the price of this particular boat. However like the E-type there are very few in such excellent condition. If you love Bowmans and want a classic example in great condition then this is it.
