Broker's Comments

The Tucker designed Silhouette (1954)did for the yachtsman what the Morris Minor did for the motorist; she literally threw open the doors to cruising for the average family man, and woman. Originally built in marine ply she proved extremely tough and seaworthy, and more importantly, boat-loads of fun! She was developed in Mk 2 and 3 forms in GRP by Hurley Marine, and at least one model crossed the Atlantic (on her own keel)..
This particular yacht has been undergoing a refit for the past 30 years (things are taken more slowly in Pembrokeshire!) and the owner has now accepted that ill health precludes him from finishing it. She is a project with an interesting history, a fine pedigree, and we have the original owners manual for both the yacht and her engine. A custom built road trailer, with heavy duty winch for dry launching and recovery completes the package. She is wide open to offers!
