The larger sport Z spars mast is 43' It has been improved with top diamond spreaders and a fractional genoa and the boom has been lengthened to increase the mainsail area. The sail is fully battened with ball bearing cars and there are running backstays.

This was the last Solaris Cat to be built at the Woolston yard in Southampton. The concept for the sport version was to produce a lightweight open stern deck version, suitable for holidays and weekend sailing, with a better sailing performance.
