This yacht has been in the same family since it was commissioned in 1970. When this yacht was ordered, the original owners knew that they would be sailing her all over the world, & with that in mind, the design was changed slightly to build in additional strength, even the cabin and decks were made double skinned and insulated. She was built to Lloyds standards and is registered with Lloyds.
A few years ago, the present owner stripped the entire gel coat from the hull, it was replaced with nine epoxy resin gel coats, 6 with ground aluminium and 3 with ground copper.
She is offered for sale with eight sails (one does require a new steel cord), heavy duty auto-helm, spares for the Yanmar diesel engine, even the Red Ensign and flag pole are included in the sale, again, please contact me for a complete list.
The present owner is having to sell due to long term ill health, he is hopeful that the new owners will continue to care for and enjoy her has much has his family have.
Storage has been paid until spring 2008.
