These comments are always best written “on the volley” as it were, with not too much pause for refection, and in the case of this boat they are VERY easy to write!

The first impression on approach was that of a well kept, seamanlike yacht – good sails, nice sprayhood, decent deck hardware intelligently laid out. I can see the boat is made to sail!

I have never been aboard a Feeling 1090, and down below I was quite simply taken aback by the light, the ample headroom, the pleasant colouring of the woodwork, the feeling of competent spaciousness. Check out the touches that tell you this is a sea boat that is designed with crew comfort and safety in mind. The galley has a salt water tap, a backup foot pump, a drinking water tap with a filter. The bunks (including the aft cabin) have lee cloths. The forward facing chart table is a snug knook with a curved seat and everything handy.

The saloon is enormous for a boat of this size – just have a look at the photos!

She can be sailed shorthanded, the owner has been across the channel on his own, and he tells me that she doesn’t “slam” in a sea like the more modern “AWB’s” (Average White Boats). The Elvstrom Platinum TD Fentex laminate mainsail is a joy to behold – I’m really looking forward to a sea trial!

Come on folks, this is a lovely, well maintained 36 footer for a great price, you’ve GOT to come and look!
