Enjoying the virtues of build quality and sound design, this little vessel provides an opportunity for fun boating on a budget. She has a reassuringly deep cockpit, and feels solid underfoot, given her diminutive size. Running rigging is simplicity itself, but these little vessels were popular for their sprightly performance despite a comparative absence of sophisticated controls. Steering is by transom-hung rudder. Motor power is via an outboard motor mounted on a transom bracket, which draws fuel from a remote tank located in a cockpit locker. Down below there’s a surprising amount of space, and the big hatchway and windows let in a lot of light. Berths are available for up to four extremely good friends, with a sink, gas hob/grill, and chemical toilet providing at least some of the luxuries of life. She has recently been re-upholstered, and feels very fresh and comfy.
