Broker's Comments
Designed in 1968 by Jack Laurent Giles, the Centaur is perhaps the most popular production yacht ever built - and with good reason. These boats are easy to handle, sea kindly, roomy and with a bilge keel ideal for exploring those nooks and crannies. They perform well under sail and are easy to manoeuvre tight spaces under power. This example has the type 'A' layout, with ample space for six grown-ups.
Now, you're probably thinking . . . "Almost £20k for a Centaur???" Well, there's a very good reason for that. She comes with a full residential mooring licence in one of London's most popular marinas. In fact, she could make the ideal pied-a-terre for someone working in the City or Canary Wharf (5 minutes away by river taxi). These residential licences are hard to come by and have been marketed for up to £50,000.
The marina is in a popular and convenient location, with tubes, buses, trains and the river bus all close to hand, as are supermarkets, bars, restaurants and shops.
