Broker's Comments
Boatshed London are pleased to offer this 43ft Wide Beam which is ideally suited for a conversion to permanent liveaboard.
The boat had a hull survey in May 2019 which recommended a fair amount of plating works is required. The survey is available to read and should be done so before booking a viewing.
Built in about 1985 and most recently used as a classroom by a local charity, all the ingredients are here for someone to turn this into their ideal floating home. Great dimensions at 43 x 10 make this a perfect London boat, small enough to maneuver for a beginner and easy to moor.
As a project, the list of main works would be to install a functioning galley, heating and a cabin. There is already a small bathroom at the stern with manual heads into holding tank and shower. The exterior needs repainting and the boat is due for blacking but the engine runs very well (see video) and the electrics are in good order so you're not starting from scratch by any means. The boat has a BSS until July 2021. The previous owners spent over £23,000 on it in 2012.
It has lots of windows and an opening hatch in the roof that makes it very light and the potential is there for a great boat at a very reasonable price.
