Comentario del broker
The Sadler 29 was a bigger sister to the popular 26, with which it shared the enviable quality of un-sinkability, courtesy of a double-skinned construction. Like the 26, she enjoys a deserved reputation as a steadfast and reliable sea-boat. Outside, she looks the part. I love the rise of the sheer and the fine bow entry. The cockpit is deep, with substantial coamings. Two large lockers swallow all the usual cruising gear. Down below, the design works well. The head of the quarter-berth doubles as a seat for the dedicated forward-facing chart table. There is plenty of seating around the substantial timber saloon table, which readily converts into a double berth when required. There is plenty of stowage under the bunks. She has a Volvo Penta engine, rather than the more usual Bukh. This particular example is unusual in that it was fitted out in its entirety by her current and only owners. The surveyor monitoring the build observed in his valuation report that the quality of the finished vessel exceeded that of factory finished boats, an opinion he re-iterated when re-surveying for insurance purposes several years later. The process of maintenance and updating has continued since. Her varnished woodwork is superb. The equipment carried is comprehensive and her systems have been designed with reliability in mind. There are many clever touches that work well, such as a button in the cockpit to record instantly a man-overboard waypoint, and a clever navigation light panel that monitors the lights, alerting the crew instantly should a navigation light fail. She has a custom-built storage cradle. and mast steps. Only now available because her owners have retired from sailing, this is a most impressive example of the type, offered at a very reasonable price.
