Broker's Comments
Where do I start with such a magnificent, incredible and rare boat!
This boat has to be seen to be both appreciated and believed. She is rare Bounty 34 Sedan dating from 1988 that has been in private ownership from new, with only two private owners in that time. The current owner of some 17 years has lavished love and care in looking after and enjoying this special boat. She has been incredibly well-maintained and looked after in every aspect by her owners, and this is clearly evident wherever you look. This applies not only to the interior areas but also behind the scenes, inside the hull and machinery spaces too. The whole boat (bilges included) is dry and water free. I firmly believe that you just won't find a boat like this anywhere again. She is genuinely stunning in every true sense of the term. If you are looking for a quality vessel from which to enjoy time afloat with space, comfort and flexible facilities that has not had a hard life on the Broads, then look no further.
On top of all this she has a very rare propulsion set up with a single engine driving twin hydraulic shafts. This offers a great combination for the rivers with precise twin engine manoeuvrability combined with single engine economy and maintenance costs, delivering the best of both worlds.
You only have to look at the clean and dry engine space and the amazing condition of the machinery to know she has been lovingly looked after by both her owners. She was last professionally serviced winter 2021.
As a private boat from new you would expect that she is in gelcoat finish and she is, and this is polished and gleaming with a deep shine that reflects the love lavished on this boat. She is outstandingly good in every way from equipment to finish, and I could find very little to fault with her. Her large and beautifully trimmed interior offers sleeping for 6 adults in 3 cabins and she is incredibly spacious and roomy. She has a good 6' 2" of saloon headroom and also has a large opening sun roof to let air and light in on good days.
Her large aft cockpit has seating for 6, is trimmed in white vinyl and is a very convivial space to spend time looking at the world, and benefits from a good condition Jeckells canopy for when the weather is not so good, allowing you to use this space all year round. A spare winter canopy is also included.
Moving into the boat from the aft cockpit through the wide patio doors, you are greeted with a stunningly large and flexible space of a saloon with large windows and a good sized and well-equipped galley to port. The saloon main seating can convert to a double berth and is a very comfortable place from which to enjoy the Broads and time afloat. The saloon also offers an unusual feature on a boat of this type, with forward-facing seating for four in addition to the conventional saloon. This type of seating arrangement is rare on a conventional Broads Cruiser.
The galley has a quality Smev cooker and hob and a good sized refrigerator and twin sinks and is inundated with cupboard space. Moving forward you find the helm station to port and the forward facing passenger seating for 3 people to starboard. The elevated helm is comfortable and well-laid-out and has all the instruments you need for cruising the Broads including VHF radio. It also offers a great view of the world around you.
Moving forward down the companionway to port you have a large and very well fitted heads and shower room with pump out toilet to holding tank. This is a generous space and all appears to be presented in excellent condition. To starboard there is a dedicated large double cabin with storage and this is also light and bright.
Going forward there is a large bow twin cabin that feels very light and spacious and has its own vanity basin. All the colour matched bedding and soft furnishings and curtains etc are included in the sale so as you see her is exactly what you will get.
All the headlining, furnishings, floor coverings etc appeared to be undamaged and unmarked and in excellent condition and truly stunning in appearance throughout. You would be forgiven for thinking that this boat was almost new and not from 1988, she really is that good.
She has many other features like electric anchor windlass, 4kw diesel warm air heating to all cabins, 240v shore power, battery charger, window covers the list goes on.
She has valid Boat Safety Certificate to September 2025 and her Broads toll is paid to April 2023. She was last antifouled in 2018. Her mooring could be available to the new owner by separate discussion with the marina as the vendors are giving up boating due to health reasons. This very much loved and cherished boat is being sold complete with everything aboard from tv to crockery to everything she contains! So, she is a fully complete package and represents an incredible opportunity to acquire such a vessel.
This is a very rare chance to obtain an incredibly special and complete boat package that WILL impress all who see her, and delight her new owner. Make no mistake this is a very special boat indeed!
