Broker's Comments
What a beautifully equipped example of the popular Freeman 23!
Where do I start with what she offers? A beautifully running engine (one of the nicest Watermota engines I have had the pleasure of driving for a long time). She is a very well-appointed boat with a warm and dry interior that benefits from a full hot water system with full shower, pump out toilet to holding tank as well as an immaculate gas cooker (with oven grill and hob), electric mains cabin heating, additional engine driven warm air heating to all cabins and cockpit, battery charger, 3 batteries (all new), invertor, NASA battery monitoring system, depth system, re-stitched canopy, soft headlining, refrigerator, the list goes on.
This boat has clearly been cared for by all of her owners. Her interior is a very comfortable place to spend time afloat with good quality seating presented in amazing condition and quite possibly one of the most comfortable freeman's I have sat in for many a year.
Her wood work is not water damaged to my eye. That said, some of the varnish would benefit from a light sand and re varnish, however, this is only noticeable on close inspection and does not detract from the look of the boat. It would be the work of a weekend to re varnish the few panels that I noticed.
The carpet was removed at the time of my viewing and is in the process of being professionally replaced so this will be done for the new owner. With a full shower and pump out toilet this Freeman is all set for extended cruising especially with her two heating systems and comfort levels. Her infill cushions are present so she can sleep 4 in two cabins with the wardrobe door separator deployed.
Her hull is professionally two pack painted and gleams and her topsides are still in gelcoat. She has a current Boat Safety Certificate to 2025 and her Broads toll is paid to April 2023.
This Freeman, with this level of fit out, is very rare and is a must see and represents very good value
