Broker's Comments
Boatshed Norfolk are very pleased to offer this genuinely immaculate and stunning example of the very popular Marex 27.7 Consul.
This particular example is powered by what appears to be a perfectly starting and running Volvo Penta TAMD 31 diesel engine with very low hours indicated (338). The engine is serviced and is incredibly clean and tidy as is the engine bay and all the under floor spaces. It is no exaggeration that this boat looks and feels like new.
Her stunning cockpit has amazing woodwork and wooden floors and offers through transom access to the large full width bathing platform with bathing ladder, storage, wet locker and outboard mounting location. The central sliding transom gate has a built in cockpit table which is a very nice touch indeed.
From the bathing platform you step into the large and sociable cockpit, under a new quality canopy that fits like a glove and is looks to be in excellent order. The aft end of the cockpit is flanked by two beautifully upholstered wraparound side benches in white with blue piping that are pristine, very comfortable and offer huge storage under.
The large under floor lazarette is spotless and very big, offering further storage space.
Moving forward we have tandem helm and navigator seats under the semi hard top roof with new opening hatches. The matching upholstered helm and navigators seats are unmarked and sit atop stunning woodwork cabinetry and storage options with draws and lockers and the large WAECO fridge. Elevated foot rest platforms also have storage under and are in stunning teak and holly.
The helm station has good, clear instrumentation and also a bow thruster for ease of handling and an excellent view of the river from her expansive glass. There are three widescreen wipers fitted.
Moving down the companionway into the saloon, through the double high gloss varnished doors, you enter a world of comfort and practicality that will be all you ever need afloat. The saloon (like the rest of the boat's interior), is immaculate and trimmed in a fetching mid blue.
The saloon seating converts to a double berth and the cushions and infill come with the boat. The galley to port is compact yet fully functional and offers twin gas hob, sink and new gas oven below and storage lockers.
The large heads and shower room are spotless and the electric toilet feeds both to a holding tank or direct to sea through a macerator and selector valve.
The separated forward cabin is entered by a central door in the dark tinted glass bulkhead and has twin bunks that again convert to a double, athwartships this time with the infill fitted. There is storage under and a hanging locker and full curtains and window blinds fitted throughout that are new and fully lined. The front cabin has a large access hatch to the foredeck.
The exterior of the boat is just as immaculate and in all original gelcoat, gleaming white, clean and polished. The foredeck has an electric windlass with concealed anchor fitted. She has diesel warm air heating throughout, shore power with battery charger, solar power system, an inverter and USB sockets and much more.
Her Broads toll is paid and she has a valid Boat Safety Certificate to April 2027.
This boat is stunning in every sense of the term and must be viewed as I very much doubt there is a better example anywhere.
