Broker's Comments
A fantastic little dayboat or occasional overnighter. Ideal for the first time boater. Mayland Boats originally designed the Mariner for coastal waters but she is equally at home pottering around on inland waterways.
This boat has received a full professional polish, anti foul and interior "spruce up" in 2012, she is now in good condition inside and out.
The 15hp Mercury 4 Stroke outboard has also been serviced and is more than capable for this size of boat.
Currently laying ashore but a mooring is also available subject to approval from the owners.
These boat details are subject to contract.

Hi just letting you know that there is no such boat as a Mayland Mariner, and Mayland boats did not design it for offshore waters eiether as it the boat in question has absolutely nothing to do with Mayland Boats!...It is actually a Marina 16 G.T., made between 1962 and December 1979 by Marina Boats Ltd, first in Solihull and later in Alcester, Warks...Designed by the former owner, Jeff Hemming himself, it was their most popular boat, with a total of perhaps around 1500 being produced, all to order and many exported..One particular Marina 16 G.T.called "Penny Pride", was used for Group 3 offshore racing in the 60's, powered by twin Swedish-made Crescent Marin 55hp outboards. Unlike the 16 G.T. the similar looking Marina 17 Cruiser, which used the same hull but with a different moulding on top), was deigned to take a single 65ho outboard, whereas the 16 G,T, can take single 100hp outboard. It is often confused with the Shetland 535, as their top mouldings are superficially similar...Their hulls look completely different however..
